This February, ministers from across our fellowship gathered in Decatur, GA for the first-ever Christian Educators Conference (CEC)—and what a journey it was!
For four days, participants explored the “Threads of Ministry,” diving deep into learning that will shape the future of their congregations. Attendees chose from four specialized learning tracks covering practical and timely topics like event planning, advocacy, racial justice, congregational thriving, clergy financial wellbeing—and more.
But it wasn’t just about information—it was about transformation. These sessions gave leaders space to ask big questions:
• How do we connect with people who see the world differently?
• How do we foster real understanding and bridge our experiences with theirs?
• And how do we lay the groundwork for life-changing ministry before we even step out into our communities?
Because changing lives doesn’t start with a microphone—it starts around the table, in conversation, in listening, in planning.
Ministers today are navigating a world where everything about nurturing faith feels uncertain—but this week proved again that they are rising to meet that moment with courage, creativity, and heart.
To everyone who joined us for this milestone event—thank you! We had an incredible time growing, learning, and laughing with you in Decatur.
Mark your calendars now—we can’t wait to gather again for CEC in 2027! Let’s keep weaving these threads of ministry together.
