Heritage Fellowship in Canton packs brown bag lunches in Partnership with MUST ministries.

Heritage Fellowship in Canton has participated in the county-wide MUST Ministries Summer Lunch Program for the past eight years. The church serves as one of three distribution points for this ministry. Starting on the Tuesday after Memorial Day and up to the beginning of school, brown bag lunches are delivered to the children’s residences. Heritage Fellowship, along with many churches of all denominations, plus several organizations and individual people, brings lunches to Heritage. Volunteer packers assemble the lunch bags, and volunteer drivers deliver the lunches to residences on two different routes.

Approximately 400 lunches are sent out from the church Monday through Friday during the summer. Then when school starts, volunteers from Heritage pack around 40 backpacks for 40 children in one of the local schools in Canton. Children are selected by the counselor to receive the backpacks, which contain enough food for seven meals over the weekend. Heritage has been privileged and blessed to participate in both of these programs.
