Harold Tessendorf is an experienced negotiator and mediator in the non-profit sector around the world. Having served for two decades leading Habitat for Humanity affiliates in GA, Harold now works alongside CBF’s Together for Hope Black Belt Region as a consultant in housing and environment.

Rob Nash serves as an associate dean and Professor of World Religions at McAfee School of Theology. He also serves as Senior Pastor of Heritage Fellowship in Canton, GA. In Moving the Equator, Rob challenges the church to reimagine missions as seeking God’s presence already at work around the globe.

 

Together for Hope Black Belt Region Update

Anna and LaCount Anderon, CBF field personnel works with rural poverty in Eastern North Carolina alongside CBF’s Together for Hope. Rachel Gunter Shapard, Regional Vice-President for Together for Hope, Black Belt Region also joined the conversation to discuss how churches and individuals can engage in these efforts.

 

Children’s and Family Ministry

Jessica Asbell Oravec is Minister to Children and Families at CBF/GA partner congregation FBC Roswell and a prolific children’s educational curriculum writer. She is the author of Where Faith and Family Meet, a collection of weekly family-centered devotions.

 

Sensing God Online: Navigating Worship in a Digital Word

Justin Bishop, Associate Pastor at CBF/GA Partner congregation, Heritage Fellowship, Canton, helps churches develop and enhance their online, digital, and virtual worship capacities and helps tackle the theological questions surrounding gathering the Body of Christ through technology as well as offering some practical tips and suggestions for better engagement.

 

Using Worship Arts in Ministry 

Tom serves as Minister of Music at Milledge Avenue Baptist Church in Athens, Georgia. He intentionally includes different worship arts elements to bring more people and personalities into the worship service. Tom will explore how he continues to use a broad range of arts media in worship as well as talk about the worship arts festival that Milledge Avenue Baptist Church hosts.
