SUMMARY:Registration for Recordings of the 2020 Virtual Marriage Retreat
DESCRIPTION:CBF/GA 2020 (Virtual) Marriage Retreat\nUsing the Enneagram to Enhance Your Marriage\n\n*We encourage you to purchase a copy of Discovering Your Personality Type: The Essential Introduction to the Enneagram\nby Don Richard Riso and Russ Hudson. \nRegister Here!\nMelody and Sam Harrell are leading this retreat\, during which they will guide participants to use the Enneagram tool to explore how to bring greater awareness to marriage and family relationships. \n \nThe Enneagram is a model of the human psyche which seeks to define nine personality types that are represented by the points on a geometric figure called an Enneagram. Understanding one’s personality type and how different personality types connect and interact is considered to be one way of deepening relationships and encouraging deeper spirituality and self-understanding. \nSam and Melody Harrell have extensive training and experience in leading groups in the study of the Enneagram\, and we are excited that they have agreed to lead us in this retreat. \nThey both were born to missionary parents in East Africa and have spent most of their lives working in that context. \nIn the last twenty years\, working under the auspices of CBF’s Global Missions\, they have engaged the Kenyan context through the ministries of Africa Exchange\, a non-profit organization they founded in 1998 which continues under joint local direction today. Melody currently works as a certified Spiritual Director\, and Sam serves as Associate Coordinator for Global Missions at CBF Global.

Musical offerings will be provided by First Baptist Church\, Rome. \n6:30 pm\nRound Table Conversation Via ZOOM\nIn this new and challenging era\, we want to hear from you! Some questions we will consider: \n\nHow can CBF/GA best assist your congregation as ministry continues to change and adapt?\nWhat resources from CBF/GA would be most helpful in your context?\nWhat have we learned in this new era of ministry that we might want to continue?\n\n\n*First Baptist\, Rome\, is continuing to assist with the planning of the State Gathering\, and we appreciate their staff support and technical support. In these strange times\, while we cannot gather in person\, we can still be together in spirit. \n\n\nAdditional note from BWIM of GA\n\nBWIM of GA is getting a new purpose! We recognize that there are many more opportunities for Baptist Women ministering in the state of Georgia than when we were founded in 1985. Many of our members\, both clergy and volunteer\, are involved in other organizations which are providing them with the support that BWIM of GA provided for many years. With that in mind\, we want to create a stronger support system for women who are becoming ministers. BWIM of GA has provided a scholarship since 1994. That scholarship\, named for Sarah Owen Etheridge in 1997\, has long been a way for us to impact the future generation of female ministers in Georgia. Our new purpose for BWIM of GA will be focused on making this scholarship more impactful.\n\nSpecific information regarding the proposed changes will be available soon on the BWIM of GA website\, www.bwimga.com. We hope to see you at our annual business meeting (virtual)\, Sunday\, November 8th at 2:30 pm.
