DESCRIPTION:Individuals & groups are invited to build affordable housing with us in Ben Hill County – one of GA’s counties of persistent rural poverty.\n \n \nMarch 31- April 5\, 2025\nApril 7 – April 12\, 2025\nHoly Week Off\nApril 21 – 26\, 2025\nApril 28 – May 2\, 2025\nKickoff Dinner on March 31\, 2025\, 6:00 p.m.\nBuild Dedication on May 2\, 2025\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				HOW TO SUPPORT THE BUILD\n  \nBE A “SQUARE FOOTER”\nThe cost of a new build home in Fitzgerald\, GA is $125\,000 for a 1200 sq. ft. home\, so the cost per square foot is roughly $100. If you\, your Bible Study group\, your Sunday school class\, your church’s Mission’s Committee\, your extended family\, your business\, etc. would be willing to commit to one or more square feet\, together we will raise enough money to build a new affordable home in Fitzgerald. See donation options below. \n\nBE A MEAL SPONSOR\nWork teams will be fed lunch\, snacks and beverages six days/week and communal dinners two nights/week. If you would like to sponsor a meal\, see donation options below. \n\nBE A VOLUNTEER\nYou are invited to participate in Together We Build in Fitzgerald\, GA. Whether you are an individual or part of a group\, we have a place for you! The weekly build schedule for all four weeks of the build begins with a communal dinner on Sunday night at 6 p.m. Work on the build site begins on Monday morning and concludes on the following Saturday. If your group wants to get creative and (for example) bring 3 people for the first 3 days and another set of 3 for the remaining 3 days\, we invite this type of creativity! \n\nUp to 25 volunteers can sign up to work each week. Work site hours are 7:30 a.m. — 4:00 p.m. daily on Monday through Saturday (except the last week). Each week two communal dinners will be provided. John previously served as a Baptist campus minister\, and he has served multiple CBFGA churches as interim pastor. \nHe is currently Director of the Jesus Worldview Initiative at Belmont University in Nashville\, Tennessee. John is a native of Ringgold\, Georgia\, and attended Berry College\, Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary\, and Columbia Theological Seminary.\n			\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n			\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				Dr. Richard Kosowski\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				Rich Kosowski is a child of the Midwest\, born in Chicago and growing up around Green Bay\, Wisconsin. He has earned a Bachelor of Music Education from Truman State University\, a Master of Music in Performance from University of Miami\, and a Doctor of Musical Arts in Performance and Vocal Pedagogy and Voice Science from the University of Houston. Rich has held different cantor\, chorister\, and conductor positions in churches and synagogues throughout his adult life. He has maintained a rich and fulfilling performance career\, which includes professional opera\, oratorio\, and choral work. Rich currently serves as the Director of Graduate Studies and chair of the Vocal Studies Area at Mercer University’s Townsend School of Music.\n			\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n			\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				Rachel Gunter Shapard\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				Rachel Gunter Shapard is the Regional Vice President for Together for Hope\, Black Belt. She is also a co-founder of Pastors for Florida Children\, a public education advocacy group in the Sunshine State that was formed in 2019.
